Up until today, I'd only heard their track, 'Village Strollin'', which was on the compilation 'A Psychedelic Guide to Monsterism Island'. Of the new album, I've only heard a sampler that's on their myspace and seen the video for 'Cotton Threads' and 'October Fires', but these guys sound pretty damn cool! 'Cotton Threads' sounds like a bluesy Fairport Convention complete with flute and sitar, whilst 'October Fires' sounds like a mix between Cream and Captain Beefheart. They're a London band and are on Jagjaguwar and the album was released 23rd February. Their influences range from Captain Beefheart to MF Doom and they class themselves somewhere in the Blues/Folk Rock/Progressive area. Well worth checking out!
