This is a great performance of 'Ride the Wind', from their 1969 album 'Elephant Mountain' and I really think they are an underappreciated band. This performance is composed, laid back and it kinda sounds like jazz-folk-rock. They're obviously great musicians and I only wish we could see more performances like this on TV nowadays. Also worth checking out is 'Beautiful! Live in San Francisco 1971', a really great live performance which was originally released as a radio broadcast before being released in 2005 on CD.
