This is the bands first release since 2006's brilliant 'Psalms, Hymns and Spiritual Songs', which I discovered through the Brian Jonestown Massacre forum. Comparisons in the past have included BJM, The Dandy Warhols, The Verve and Spritualized. From what I've heard so far, they still haven't changed the formula too much and rightly so. They sound as laid back as ever and are worth checking out for any fans of the aforementioned bands.
