I haven't listened to Shugo for nearly 5 years. The last time I listened to him, I had both 'Night Piece' and 'L.S.T.' on repeat whilst trying to finish an essay for uni and pulled an all-nighter. Anyway, he's back with a new album called 'Port Entropy' and although I haven't listened to it yet, there are 3 official videos on You Tube and each song sounds like pure joy. Tor x Sufjan Stevens = IllinoiZe
This might not be new for some of you, but I just came across it now and as a big Sufjan Stevens fan and a massive hip-hop fan I think this is a pretty nice combination. Tor is a producer from Montreal and as with Danger Mouse's 'Grey Album' and Bullion's 'Pet Sounds: In the Key of Dee', he combined a mix of Sufjan Stevens songs with hip-hop songs from the likes of Outkast, Dj Premier and Aesop Rock to nice effect.
